Yasmine van der Straten is a PhD Candidate in Finance at the University of Amsterdam and Tinbergen Institute. Yasmine is also a visiting PhD student at De Nederlandsche Bank and a PhD research associate of the Amsterdam Center of Law and Economics.
Yasmine's research is in climate finance, and aims to explore how financial incentives shape the response of economic actors to climate change, and its distributional consequences. Her work also aims to examine the impact of climate risk on asset - and house prices, individual adaptative efforts and political choices on public adaptation.
Yasmine hold an MPhil in Economics from Tinbergen Institute (with distinction), a Bachelor of Science in Economics (with highest distinction) and a Bachelor in Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
